view detailProject Details: : RCK agreed to support ADRA/Rotary Australia joint program initiatives in Nepal as follows: • Rotary volunteer support for the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center at Bansbari that included site manager for six months. • Rotary support the overall volunteer construction objectives of NHC for up to five year period, • Construction of Scheer Memorial Hospital Staff Quarter Building at Banepa, • Support for the construction of a Clinic and Primary Health Care Training Centre at Kalikasthan, Rasuwa. • The above mentioned projects were jointly sponsored by Rotary Clubs of Australia and ADRA. Rtn. Ron Marcus and Paul Dulhunty were heavily involved with these projects. • A MBBS Student Umesh Chandra Sharma was awarded full expense for his study for three years with the contribution of RCK Members.
view detailProject Details: : – Rotary Club of Mansfiled initiated the Nepal Cancer Project to provide Radiotherapy services at Bhaktapur Hospital establishing Bhaktapur Cancer Care Centre in response to a request made by Nepal Cancer Relief Society through Rotary Club of Kathmandu in RY 1994-95. - Rotary Club of Mansfield and Rotary Club of Kathmandu Jointly applied for a 3-H grant of $ 373,025 for the Bhaktapur Cancer Care Centre. Rotary Clubs of Kathmandu-Mid town, Ktm North, Patan and Patan West co-sponsored the project contributing US$1000 each in RY 1995-96. - The project continued till 1996-97. – On 6 November, 1996 The Rotary Foundation Trustees approved the total grant of $ 3,78,025 for Bhaktapur Cancer Care Centre.
