Dear Rotarians, Rotaract, Interact, and Esteemed Guests,
In continue the last year theme Unite for Good, RI president for 2026-27 Olaynka Hakeem Babalola has asked the members to Create Lasting Impact by embracing growth, service and emotional connection Rotarians to Rotary. It is with great honor and humility that I accept the presidency of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu for the year 2026-27. Our theme for this year definitely to follow RI theme serves as a guiding light for all our endeavors as did by past president of RC Kathmandu, who carried out club as healthy and prestigious institution. It reminds us that the true essence of Rotary lies in making meaningful and sustainable differences in our community and beyond.
As Rotarians, we are committed to service above self, and this year, our focus will be on initiatives that leave enduring positive footprints- whether through, financial inclusion and literacy, ICT training, construction of girl- friendly toilet, women empowerment and MHM awareness program, scholarship and school bags distribution, health and mental health, environmental sustainability, or community development, which has already been written in our strategic plan(2025-2028). We aim to foster collaborations with other Rotary, Rotaract, Interact club and other government and non-government agency, empower local talents, and implement projects that stand the test of time.
Our key focus will be on the implementation of strategic plan (2025-28) to create the lasting impact. Let us unite our efforts, harness our collective energies, and inspire each other to create ripples of change that will resonate for generations to come. Together, as a team, we can build a better our society and nation and a better world – one lasting impact at a time.
My sincere thanks to all Past Presidents, Board of Directors, and all team member of RC Kathmandu for the willingness to serve in leadership roles and their dedication to our mission and objectives. I look forward to a fruitful year of service and transformation.
