The mission of developing a society where every girl and woman can manage their menstruation with dignity has led us to Jalapa village of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadi Municipality, Khotang 256 KM east of Kathmandu.
Rotary Club of Kathmandu with the support of the Rotary Club of Kingston, Canada has organized 2-days training on “Menstrual Hygiene Management and Enterprise Development” at Jalapa on 16-17 January 2022.
In the training 21 participants (teachers, health professionals, and community women) were oriented on body literacy, menstrual hygiene management, reusable sanitary pad production, and entrepreneur skills for enterprise development. The training program was technically facilitated by the cooperating organization “Connection Nepal” and supported by the Ward office of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadi Municipality ward no. 12. The total worth of the program was NRs. 178,145.
Rotary Club of Kathmandu is organizing the Menstrual Hygiene Management project from 2018 in a different part of rural Nepal. Rotary clubs and organizations who are interested to collaborate with us in this project at heartily welcomed.
