Rotary Club of Kathmandu Organizes Montessori Training to Build Early Childhood Educator

Kathmandu, Dec 14 – The Rotary Club of Kathmandu, in partnership with Sambhav Inc. and Stanford Montessori Training Center, has already started a seven-day program titled “Building Early Childhood Educators through Montessori Training” in Tarkeshwor Municipality. The program is being conducted from 14 December to 20 December 2025 and involves 20 women and girls.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by President Rajendra Gautam and Vice President Prajun Khadka of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu. Addressing the event, they highlighted Rotary’s strong commitment to education, women empowerment, and skill development as key pillars of sustainable community development.

The training focuses on strengthening participants’ skills in Montessori education, including early childhood development, child-centered teaching methods, and effective classroom practices. With the growing demand for trained Montessori educators, the program offers strong employment prospects in schools and early learning centers.

By equipping women and girls with professional Montessori skills, the initiative aims to empower them to become economically independent by securing jobs in the Montessori education sector. Such skill-based programs reflect Rotary’s important areas of focus and contribute to long-term social and economic impact in the community. The cost of the project was NRs. 35,000.
