The Rotary Club of Kathmandu successfully organized Project Jhola in Illam on 24–25 December 2025, reaffirming Rotary’s core value of “Service Above Self.” Through this meaningful initiative, the club distributed backpacks (school bags) along with essential stationery materials and school uniforms to primary-level students of 5 different schools; Shree Janakalyan Basic School, Shree Nageshwori Basic School, Shree Sabitradevi Basic School, Shree Kalika Devi Basic School, and Shree Bhagwati Secondary School.
This project reflects Rotary’s strong commitment to promoting education, reducing inequality, and empowering young learners from underserved communities. By easing the financial burden on families and ensuring that children have the basic tools needed for learning, Project Jhola contributes to improving school attendance, boosting students’ confidence, and encouraging a positive learning environment.
Through initiatives like Project Jhola, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu continues to strengthen community ties and invest in the future by supporting education as a foundation for sustainable development and social transformation.
