Project Jhola: Rotary Club of Kathmandu Spreads the Light of Education in Nawalparasi

The Rotary Club of Kathmandu successfully conducted Project Jhola at Shree Kumarwarti Basic School, Gaidakot-11, Nawalparasi Susta Purba on 8th November 2025.
As part of this meaningful initiative, 100 students received essential educational materials, including school bags and stationery items. The program aimed to motivate young learners, lessen the financial burden on families, and encourage active participation in school activities.

This project reflects the Club’s strong commitment to promoting education and supporting students in their learning journey. By providing necessary resources, Rotary helps create a more conducive environment for education while inspiring children to pursue their academic dreams with confidence.

Education has always been one of Rotary’s key areas of focus, as it serves as the foundation for sustainable community development. Rotary believes that access to quality education empowers individuals, reduces poverty, and builds stronger, more resilient societies. Through educational programs like Project Jhola, Rotary works to bridge educational gaps, support literacy, and nurture the next generation of leaders who can bring positive change to their communities and beyond.

The event was graced by President Rajendra Gautam, Past President Kishor Uprety, and Membership Development Chair Khagendra Adhikari from the Rotary Club of Kathmandu, along with the Chairman of Gaidakot Municipality-11 Mr. Govinda Prasad Subedi.

The Rotary Club of Kathmandu continues to work hand in hand with local communities to uplift education in Nepal through such impactful projects – ensuring that every child is better equipped to learn, grow, and succeed.
