Project Jhola is an initiative dedicated to providing school bags to marginalized children from some of the most remote and underserved regions of Nepal. Many of these areas face high student absenteeism and dropout rates, making it crucial to inspire and motivate children to continue their education.
By gifting a simple school bag, we aim to send a powerful message – education matters and every child deserves the tools to succeed. Since its inception, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu, in collaboration with Solidarity International, has distributed 5,000 school bags to children in need.
In the Rotary Year 2025–26, our goal is to reach another 5,000 children across 40 remote schools, including those in Kalikot, Gulmi, Baglung, Lamjung, and other rural districts. Together, we are carrying hope and opportunity—one bag at a time.
