The Rotary Club of Kathmandu is committed to promoting health, dignity, and education through its Menstrual Hygiene Project. This initiative addresses the challenges faced by girls and women—particularly in rural and underserved communities—by providing access to menstrual hygiene products, education on menstrual health, and awareness to break the stigma surrounding menstruation.
Our program includes the distribution of reusable sanitary pads, interactive awareness sessions in schools and communities, and training on hygiene management. By empowering girls with knowledge and resources, we aim to reduce school absenteeism, enhance confidence, and foster a supportive environment where menstruation is understood as a natural part of life.
Through partnerships with local organizations and health experts, the project continues to create lasting impact—ensuring that no girl’s education or dignity is compromised due to lack of menstrual hygiene resources.
