Rotary Year 2024–25

• The 67th Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu was successfully held on 3rd July 2024 at Rotary Bhawan, Thapathali. Rtn. Sushil Kumar Karki was formally installed as the President of the Club.

•A total of 321 teachers from 202 public schools were benefitted through a comprehensive ICT Training Program aimed at enhancing digital literacy and teaching effectiveness.

• Rotary Scholarships were awarded to 1,200 students from various districts including Sindhuli, Makawanpur, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Tanahu, supporting their educational pursuits.

• A Training of Trainers (TOT) program on Menstrual Hygiene Management was successfully organized to promote health and dignity among adolescent girls and women.

• Mental Health Awareness Programs, including TOT sessions, were conducted in both community settings and schools to address mental well-being and reduce stigma. (Note: This activity was listed twice; consid ered once here for clarity.)

• As part of the Club’s WASH initiative, three girl-friendly toilets were constructed at:
Shree Tila Secondary School, Kalikot
Shree Kalika Secondary School, Sindhuli
Shree Gwagha Secondary School, Gulmi

• School materials, including school bags and stationery, were distributed to 1,436 students across five government schools in Nepal to support their learning environment.

• A joint meeting was successfully organized to strengthen collaboration and fellowship among Rotarians.
