2017-18 Surendra Pratap Shahwas installed as the President:

-Under Global Grant no. 1639634 Rainwater harvesting in plastic pond project was organized at
Godamchaur water project at Panchkhal Municipality and Namobuddha Municipality. The project
was supported by Rotary club of Gananoque, Kingston, Cataraqui-Kingston, Kingston Frontenac,
Montreal, Napanee, Foundation Coup de Coeur and Rotary District Funds 7040.
-Reconstruction of Nagarkot Clinic.
• Ambulance Project:A MG No. 75866 for an Ambulance to the National Kidney Center under the
Health Care Foundation Nepal worth of 16,125 USD (NPR: 11,86,933) project is sponsored by
Rotary Club of Arizona USA.
• Class room construction and toilet construction: 6 class rooms and school toilet construction
was provided to Sagardanda Primary School, Bakanje, Solukhumbu and Ringmu Primary School,
Solukhumbu. Rs: 2,85,000/- was supported to Sagardanda Primary School and Rs: 4,94,891/- to
the Ringmu Primary School. Support was made by Himalayan Project and various Rotary Clubs in
Denmarkunder the World Community Service project in the initiation of Rtn. Kurt Lumborg.
• Education Fund:A fund of Rs: 19,22,731 has been created as the Education fund for the study at
the Angel Academy, Kirtipur by the sponsorship of Rotary Club of Perth, Australia on 11th July
2012.
• Dental camps:Global Grant No. 1526535 of NRs. 39,60,000for 3 dental camps.
• Microcredit project: Matching Grant 64201, US$52,283 to help train Auxiliary Nurse Midwives and
provide micro-credit in the districts of Makwanpur, Rasuwa, Dhading and Nuwakot, sponsored by
RC Naumburg /Saale (D-1800), Germany.
• Medical equipment support: Matching Grant Project for Equipment Supplies in the Post Up ward
of Nepal Ortho Hospital with the support of Rotary Club of Arizona USA. The project was of worth
US$ 21,000.
