1995-96 : Dr. Lok Bikram Thapa was installed as the President:

– Rotary Club of Mansfield and Rotary Club of Kathmandu Jointly applied for a 3-H grant of $ 373,025 for the Bhaktapur Cancer Care Centre. Rotary Clubs of Kathmandu-Mid town, Ktm North, Patan and Patan West co-sponsored the project contributing US$1000 each.
– Rotary International South Asia Conference of Peace and Development was held at BICC, Kathmandu on January 11-13, 1996. Queen Aishwarya inaugurated the conference. About 450 participants from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and host country Nepal attended the conference. Among the participants were RI President Herbert G. Brown, PRIP Raja Saboo, DG AlokeMitra. RCK played key role to make the conference a grand success.

– RCK agreed to support ADRA/Rotary Australia joint program initiatives in Nepal as follows:
• Rotary volunteer support for the ShahidGangalal National Heart Center at Bansbari that included site manager for six months,
• Rotary support the overall volunteer construction objectives of NHC for up to five year period,
• Construction of Scheer Memorial Hospital Staff Quarter Building at Banepa,
• Support for the construction of a Clinic and Primary Health Care Training Centre at Kalikasthan, Rasuwa.
• The above mentioned projects were jointly sponsored by Rotary Clubs of Australia and ADRA. Rtn. Ron Marcus and Paul Dulhunty were heavily involved with these projects.
• A MBBS Student Umesh Chandra Sharma was awarded full expense for his study for three years with the contribution of RCK Members.
