New Toilet Facility Handed Over to Dharmasthali Police Station on World Toilet Day

19 Nov, 2025 – Dharmasthali, Kathmandu; On the occasion of World Toilet Day, a newly constructed toilet facility was officially handed over to the Dharmasthali Police Station, marking a significant step toward improving workplace hygiene and sanitation. The project was jointly completed by the Rotary Action Group (President’s 2025/26), the Rotary Club of Kathmandu, and the District 3292 Basic Education & Literacy Committee. Valued at Nrs. 722,898, the infrastructure now directly benefits 190 police personnel, offering them enhanced dignity, comfort, and a healthier working environment.

Public toilets play a vital role in safeguarding community health, supporting basic hygiene, and ensuring safe and sanitary conditions for everyone. For institutions like police stations, proper sanitation facilities help maintain morale, reduce the risk of illness, and promote overall well-being among personnel who serve the public daily. This project not only strengthens essential services but also highlights the importance of continued investment in sanitation to build healthier and more dignified communities.
