Home Message From President
Rajendra Gautam
Dear Members,
It is with great humility and gratitude that I accept the responsibility of serving as President of the Rotary Club of Kathmandu for the Rotary Year 2025–2026. I extend my sincere thanks to all members for placing their trust in me to lead Nepal’s first pioneer Rotary club.
During this Rotary year, we will work collaboratively with our past presidents, club members, Rotaract and Interact clubs, and partner organizations to implement impactful service initiatives aimed at uplifting communities across the country. Our strategic priorities include:
•Construction of girl-friendly toilets in remote schools
•Distribution of school bags and hygiene kits to students in rural areas
•Menstrual health and hygiene awareness programs
•ICT training to enhance digital literacy
•Mental health awareness campaigns
•Scholarship distribution to support underprivileged students etc.
In addition, we aim to expand our reach and impact through club-to-club partnerships and global grant projects, particularly in the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) and healthcare sectors.
A key focus this year will be on capacity building. Our goal is to develop a team of empowered individuals—changemakers who can inspire, educate, and lead. We envision creating a ripple effect of positive change by equipping our members and volunteers with the tools to make a meaningful difference.
I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to President 2024–25 Rtn. Sushil Kumar Karki and his team for their exemplary leadership. Your achievements set a strong foundation upon which we will continue to build. I also look forward to your ongoing support and mentorship in the year ahead.
My sincere thanks also go to Secretary 2025–26 Rtn. Pravin Karki and the incoming Board of Directors for their willingness to serve in leadership roles and their dedication to our shared mission.
Let us move forward with unity, purpose, and a collective spirit of service. Together, let us Unite for Good.
Warm regards,
Rtn. Rajendra Gautam
President 2025–26
