The Rotary Club of Kathmandu organized several engaging in-house speaking sessions during Rotary Year 2025–26, where club members delivered inspiring and insightful classification talks. These sessions served as a platform for members to share their personal backgrounds, professional journeys, and interests, helping fellow Rotarians better understand each other’s classifications and experiences. By promoting fellowship and deeper connections within the club, the talks encouraged active participation and showcased the diverse talents and contributions of the members. The Rotary Club of Kathmandu convened its 3251 regular meeting on 16th July 2025 at the Rotary Hall, Thapathali chaired by President Rajendra Gautam. The meeting was graced by the presence of Past Presidents, Club Members, Rotaractors, Interactors, and distinguished Guests. A key feature of the meeting was an engaging keynote address by Rtn. Dr. Rekha Sthapit, titled:“Hands-Only CPR: A Life-Saving Skill for Everyone” Dr. Sthapit-Senior Consultant, General Practitioner, and Emergency Medicine Specialist (MBBS, MDGP, DM Emergency Medicine)-shared practical insights into emergency life-saving techniques. She emphasized the importance of community training in hands-only CPR and encouraged Rotary Clubs to promote such initiatives as a means of enhancing public safety and community resilience. We extend heartfelt thanks to all attendees for their presence and their ongoing dedication to the values and mission of Rotary.

Key Highlights: • President Nominee Rtn. Keshava Gnawali delivered an insightful talk on “Evolution of the Shah Dynasty in Nepal.” The Shah Dynasty played a pivotal role in shaping Nepal’s history. It began with Dravya Shah, who established his rule in Gorkha in 1559 AD. The dynasty reached its peak under King Prithvi Narayan Shah (1723–1775), who unified the many small kingdoms of the region into modern Nepal. For over two centuries, the Shah monarchs ruled the nation, navigating through political transitions, modernization efforts, and eventually the move towards democracy, with the monarchy officially abolished in 2008. The meeting witnessed engaging discussions and active involvement from all attendees, making it a meaningful and impactful session.
