A Historic Double Milestone: Rotary Club of Kathmandu Marks 68th Charter Anniversary and 3292 Meeting

13th April, 2026 (Monday); The Rotary Club of Kathmandu celebrated its 68th Charter Anniversary alongside its 3292nd regular weekly meeting on April 13, 2026, at the Best Western Plus Hotel.

The event was held in the presence of Chief Guest Vishnu B Karkee, Assistant Governor Sumeera Shrestha, Past Presidents, Council of Governors, District Officials, members, Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, and distinguished guests.

The ceremony featured a video documentary showcasing the rich history and enduring legacy of the club. The occasion marked 68 years of dedicated service and was commemorated with a special cake-cutting ceremony.

A historic milestone was also achieved as the club completed its 3292nd meeting on the same day-symbolically aligning with Rotary District 3292.

On the occasion, President Rajendra Gautam recognized past presidents and trainers involved in ICT training initiatives, appreciating their valuable contributions to capacity building and community development.

In a notable moment of the event, the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) recognition was awarded to Sarthak Singh Subedi for his dedicated service through the Interact Club of Kathmandu, highlighting the club’s commitment to nurturing young leaders.

The celebration reflected the Rotary Club of Kathmandu’s continued dedication to service, leadership, and community impact over nearly seven decades.
